Innovation Night
Join us for a great night of family fun at Lower School Innovation Night on September 19! Hosted by the Technology Center, Innovation Night offers lots of cool, hands-on Innovation activities for Dunham students (PK-4th grade) and their parents. It also gives parents a glimpse of the exploration, collaboration and problem-solving that happens every day in our Lower School Innovation Lab.5:00-6:30 pm
No need to worry about dinner. Food trucks will be on hand, offering delicious food for the entire family.

This week, the students will continue reading “Stormalong” and “Hoderi the Fisherman” in the
Journeys text (Lesson 5). The Journeys text can be accessed online through Think Central.

There will not be a reading test this week. Wordly Wise Lesson 2 words were introduced on
Friday. Homework for Lesson 2 will be due on Wednesday, September 11th. There will be a

adverbs, adjectives, article adjectives, and how to classify sentences. There will be a Shurley
English quiz on Thursday, September 12th. The students will be quizzed over the adverb jingle,
the adjective jingle, and their ability to classify sentences for the parts of speech they have
learned thus far.

Bible (Miss Reech)
MV: 2 Timothy 2:15 - “Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker
who has no need to be ashamed, rightly handling the word of truth.” We will be learning
how to use Bible Study Tools such as the concordance, timelines, and maps to help us learn

Students received their word list on Friday. They should have instructions on how to
complete homework for Monday and Tuesday stapled to the front of their spelling
notebook. 7 words will be used each night. There will be a practice test on Wednesday.

We are concluding our unit on latitude and longitude. Students completed their study guide
on Friday. Our unit test will be on Wednesday, September 11. Students will receive
guidelines for their Landform Project on Thursday. The girls will have their projects due

journals and begin collecting data on their chosen city. The students will also learn about
the different climate zones and how a city’s location affects its climate.

graders will also figure out the pattern of input/output tables and express the rule using
